  • Bring to boil chile pods, cook 2 miuntes, and simmer 3 minutes.
  • Drain water and put in blender and add garlic,and salt.
  • To that add 4 cups of water or to cover 2 inches above the pods.
  • Blend for a full 2 1/2 minutes.
  • Sift to remove the sauces. Will keep in refrigerater for 7 days.
  • This is the recipe to start your Red Enchiladas.

  1. growing up in NM we NEVER bought "can" enchilaa sauce.. ... thank u for this recipe.. I hadnt made it in years (physically challanged) I couldn't remember exactly how.. kept getting results for 'powerdered chili recipe' thank u for posting the recipe using dried chili pods!!!
