New Brunswick Donairs

This is a recipe given to me by a co-worker. It mimics very well the donairs that are served in this part of the country. I like this recipe because it doesn't have a lot of preservatives in it. I usually use lean hamburger when I make it. I serve it with the Donair Sauce receipe that I have also posted.

I'm a fellow New-Brunswicker as well, and have been searching for years for any recipe that even comes close to those of Greco-Donair in N.B. Finally a taste of home. Outstanding and thank you!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Blend all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Shape in a log.
  3. Bake at 350oF for 1 hour or until done.
  4. Serve by slicing meat, and placing on a heated pita bread with Donair Sauce and your choice of vegetables such as diced tomatoes, onions, or lettuce.
