I tried this today for the first time and not being a regular baker, I followed measurements to a T - the only thing I did different was use seasalt (but crushed it up smaller) as I don't buy/use salt normally for anything and used margarine instead of butter. While the recipe was super easy to follow, dough was great to work with and cutting out biscuits all looked great - I cooked for 10 minutes and biscuits rose quite a bit but weren't quite cooked, so put them in another 3 minutes and they are very flaky but completely deformed now :-( I tried one so far and I can taste the salt so either don't substitute sea salt for salt or cut back some. Will upload a picture if I can.
These are excellent biscuits. Nice and fluffy and etasty. I made drop biscuits. I used a cupcake pan to make them in. They came out really nice. I will be making these again. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Made for PAC Fall '08
These have to be good with all that butter. I have never added an egg to biscuits before but it worked well. I did need to add additional flour. These were made for *PAC Autumn 2008*
