Nelson Cookie Bake Green Bon Bon Cookies

"Delicious butter cookie with a chocolate center."

• Ingredients: 7
• Yields: 20 Cookies

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter (softened)
• 3⁄4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 1 -2 drop green food coloring paste
• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 20 -25 Hershey chocolate kisses

directions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, vanilla.
3. Add food coloring.
4. Mix in flour and salt until dough hold together. (If dough is dry, mix in 1 – 2 Tablespoons light cream.
5. Mold dough by teaspoonfuls around Hershey Kiss.
6. Place cookies about 1 inch apart on parchment lined cookie sheets.
7. Bake 12 – 15 minutes or until set but not browned.
8. Cool. Dip tops of cookies into Icing.

Adding a little milk (1 or 2 tsp) can make this dough easier to work with as well for rolling the kisses in.

Another beautiful, delicious cookie for my Christmas cookie trays. I added green sprinkles over the icing for another touch.
