I found this recipe for cough syrup posted by Bonnie K. McMillen, R.N, B.S.N., College Health Nurse, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. It certainly can't hurt and reviews seem to confirm it works. Ingredients are all common and most likely in the cupboard. **This is not recommended for young children, as it is too strong in taste and honey is not safe for children under one year unless pasteurized or boiled for 5 minutes.
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- Mix all together.
- Adults take 3 teaspoons as needed.
Yes!! I found this on Pinterest and have been making it ever since. Great stuff. We nicked named it "Fireball."
this really does work and is safe to use on little kids.. thanks forposting!
This is what my mom makes, though she makes me down the whole thing at once. It will beat your cough into submission. Please note that this is most effective for a dry cough
