This is a recipe from the vineyards of Western New York. Great served with spinach noodles.

  1. Brown chicken breasts in melted margarine, remove and set aside.
  2. Saute mushrooms and onions in the same pan until tender.
  3. Return chicken to pan.
  4. Add wine, bouillon, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover chicken and simmer 40 minutes.
  6. Remove chicken.
  7. Blend flour and water into pan juices.
  8. Stir until thickened.
  9. Return chicken to pan.
  10. Heat through or refrigerate until serving time, then reheat.

Very, Very good chicken, easy to make, moist. We loved the gravy. Served it with vegetable Orzo pasta and a salad. Thank you Whisper, the recipe is a keeper.

DH and I really enjoyed this recipe! The dish had wonderful flavor - especially the mushrooms. Next time I think that I'll cube the chicken breasts for greater absorption of the flavor and halve the mushrooms so that they stand up to the long simmering. Thanks for a wonderful recipe Whisper!
