My mom got the recipe from her friend Nancy 30+ years ago and it is just perfect! You can add 1 cup of chopped walnuts if you like.

My 3 year old & I just made this, Delicious! Easy recipe to follow, and it turned out perfect. I added a cinnamon-powdered sugar icing just for kicks, and I used pumpkin pie spice instead of individual nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, & ginger. I probably used 1 1/2-2 teaspoons total of that, but then again the pumpkin pie filling I used was pre-seasoned. I just added the spice to taste because that's what I had on hand. It was still very good!

  1. Add eggs to sugar and beat well.
  2. Add oil and beat.
  3. Add pumpkin and blend.
  4. Add the dry ingredients alternately with water.
  5. Pour evenly into 3 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch greased loaf pans.
  6. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
  7. After cooling, loaves can be sliced, wrapped in foil, and frozen. To reheat, place frozen loaf in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
