I grew up with these courtesy of my Grandmother. They're fantastic for Christmas cookies.
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
- Mix all ingredients well with hands.
- Shape into crescents.
- Bake in 325 degree oven for 22 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Place in plastic bag with sugar and shake well to coat.
