Delicious, rich and creamy pie from the kitchen of my grandmother. She always made the best foods. Our family enjoy this pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- unbaked pie shell
- Mix sugar, flour and salt together.
- Add cream, milk and vanilla.
- Pour mixture into a 9 inch unbaked pie shell; sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.
- Bake in 425 F oven for 10 mins; reduce heat to 350 F and bake for 1 hr 15 mins.

This was the best sugar cream pie I have made. I have tried ot make sugar cream pie two other times and they came out soupy. This recipe was excellent. I had never had or heard of a Sugar cream pie until I moved to Indiana. This pie was excellent and now I can enjoy a homemade sugar cream pie. Thanks for the recipe. Lisa
