Made for Fall 09 My 3 Chefs. The only things I did differently was to toast the bread lightly first, and instead of regular milk I used Buttermilk. These are personal preferences since that is how my dear Aunt used to make it for me when I was Ill. I sooooo love Milk Toast and thank you for reminding me of just how good it was.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Heat milk to almost boiling point.
  2. In a bowl tear up the bread in cubes.
  3. Pour hot milk over bread.
  4. Add butter and pepper.
  5. Usually taken before bedtime.
