Nacho Taco Casserole

"It doesn't get much easier then this. My son plays in a band and they practice at our house a lot. This is a favorite of the boys and of mine because it is so easy to make."

• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 368.54 g bag Doritos
• 453.59 g hamburger
• 35.43 g packet taco seasoning
• 177.44 ml water
• 473.18 ml shredded cheddar cheese

directions

1. Cook hamburger until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning and water and cook about 5 minutes or until most of the water has evaporated.
2. Spray 9x13 pan with PAM. Put a layer of Doritos on bottom of pan (I don't use a whole bag). Smash down a bit but don’t crumble them. Add taco meat to top of Doritos and top with cheese.
3. Heat in an oven for about 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.

Quick and simple! I added red peppers and celery to bulk it up a little. It seemed like so little to put into a 9x13 pan so I put it in an 8in square. DH was crying that there wasn't anymore lol

This is so quick and easy and really it's not different than having a taco. DH does this all the time with crushed chips on his plate, taco meat, and cheese. He's good to go. Sometimes he adds tomatoes and onions. A little ketchup or salsa or Tabasco for a little kick. Thanks for an easy one for supper tonight bonnette! Made for PRMR~

We loved these. I took the opinion of mary winecoff and made 1/2 nacho cheese doritos and 1/2 Doritos, and it was a 50/50 decision. Dave and I loved the nacho flavored chips and my nephew liked the other. I did not have a problem with the chips getting soggy at all. We will make these again for sure. Thanks.

I used half of a bag of the Doritos combo (hot wings and blue cheese). I like the premise of this but since I do not really like Doritos this wasn't my favorite dish. However, if you are a Dorito fan...this would be perfect for you! My boys thought it was good but discovered they aren't Dorito fans either! I would like to try this with regular nacho chips. I know I would love that. There was no oven temperature so I baked these at 400 degrees for about 5 minutes.
