This is a great recipe, however it wasnt like the naan that I was looking for. These were really yummy. I found it a little hard to work with the dough...but overall they were great. I definitely suggest using ghee over butter... they just arent the same when made with butter (thats all I have at the moment so had to use butter). I enjoyed them with a few different meals. Thanks!!

It was pretty good. It certainly isn't authentic naan, but it tastes pretty close. I did underestimate how much you need to flatten the dough to get it to come out like real naan. Doesn't help that I didn't have a oven stone. Everyone still liked it.

I am married to an Indian and have been cooking Indian food for 11 years. Real Naan does NOT have yeast or yogurt in it. Simply flour and milk and baked in a clay oven (or here in the U.S., use a pizza stone)

Lovely bread ! I used brown flour as wanted the healthy option, and was surprised it still tasted good, thanks to this recipe. This was the first time I ever made bread !

Not exactly what I can get at a good Indian restaurant, I will admit. But very good, and definitely close enough for me. I found them very easy to make - in fact, I mixed up the dough in the same way I do all bread doughs, starting with the yeast and liquid, then proceeding to sweetener, oil, part of the flour, salt and then adding as much of the rest of the flour as needed. I kneaded the dough as in the recipe, and followed the directions from then on. I used something labeled vegetable ghee, which I later found to be coconut fat. Whether this is what ghee usually is or not, I don't know. I did brush the breads with this ghee as soon as they came out of the oven to soften the crust. We had these with Ashley U's Aromatic Herbed Chicken for a lovely meal. Thank you very much for posting this recipe.
