  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla and sour cream.
  • Combine dry ingredients.
  • Blend into creamed mixture slowly. The dough will be light and sticky.
  • Cover and wrap dough and chill overnight.
  • On lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/8th inch.
  • Cut into desired shapes.
  • OR work dough into a log and slice to make round cookies.
  • Place on silpat covered sheet. (you can sprinkle with colored sugar before baking if you don't want to ice them.).
  • Bake 8-10 minutes until very light brown.
  • Remove from sheet and place on wire rack to cool.
  • Decorate as desired.
