My Mom's Salad Dressing

"I grew up in the south, and this is the only dressing I knew existed until I was grown. I eat others now, but I still use this one a lot. It's sweet-tart, creamy. Very good."

  1. So glad to see this simple recipe posted. Truly a recipe past down from women everywhere. It's the only dressing I use on mac salad, potato salad, and cucumbers and onion salad. The ingredients can be adjusted to personal taste. I do remember my Gram used Miracle Whip, but I think that if using MW, to omit the sugar. Gets pretty sweet. Thanks again for passing this on, MizzNez, we can always count on you.

  3. We use this on cole slaw too. We like it with a little more sugar and salt and pepper as well as a little garlic powder.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
