- Mix ground beef, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and 1/2 can tomato sauce.
- Put in pan; set aside.
- In small bowl, mix 1/2 can tomato sauce, mustard, vinegar, and brown sugar.
- Pour over meatloaf.
- Bake 2 hours at 350 degrees.
This was really good and easy. My daughters like the kind with bread crumbs or oats in it better, but I like this one. I'll probably be making this one more often. Thanks.
I also wanted to try a meatloaf recipe that didn’t have breadcrumbs.. And the combination of mustard, vinegar and brown sugar intrigued me somewhat. DH made this for us as I got home last and he didn’t think to smooth it out on the top so presentation is a little rough in my photo.. Sorry about that ! Still, the flavour was interesting and we liked it… I am searching for the perfect meatloaf recipe to suit our family and while this one isn’t it, it is one that I would make again. Please see my rating system, a lovely 4 stars … Thanks!
This was very good!! Very good flavor and nice not to use the bread crumbs like most meatloaf recipes. This was one of my recipes for PAC Spring 06 and this is a keeper recipe for us!!
