Macaroni or Shells and Cheese I made this recipe up, because I can't stand the boxed stuff! My kids love it.

  1. Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain. Place pot back on stove add cheese and tomato sauce. Cook on low med heat for about 1 minute. Then add pasta, mix and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Last add the butter and milk. stir till all cheese is melted. Enjoy!

My kids ate this up. They had no idea that it had tomato sauce in it; I love that I was able to sneak in another vegetable. I used a 13.25 oz box of whole wheat shells, 8 oz cubed cheddar cheese, and only 1 tbsp of butter. Everything else was the same. The one thing I did add was about 1 tsp of salt when I added the shells to the water. I think a little more salt could have been added with the tomato sauce and cheese. Excellent and so easy. Will definitely make again.
