- 16 ounces pasta shells or 16 ounces macaroni
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (cubed)
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons milk
directions
- Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain. Place pot back on stove add cheese and tomato sauce. Cook on low med heat for about 1 minute. Then add pasta, mix and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Last add the butter and milk. stir till all cheese is melted. Enjoy!

Made this for the kids.. I thought it would be something they’d like & it’s really simple too. One kid ate three bowls. The other two wanted nothing to do with it. But these are very picky kids & I struggle finding something all 3 would like. I will make this again & modify it to their likes. Thanks.

My kids ate this up. They had no idea that it had tomato sauce in it; I love that I was able to sneak in another vegetable. I used a 13.25 oz box of whole wheat shells, 8 oz cubed cheddar cheese, and only 1 tbsp of butter. Everything else was the same. The one thing I did add was about 1 tsp of salt when I added the shells to the water. I think a little more salt could have been added with the tomato sauce and cheese. Excellent and so easy. Will definitely make again.
