Make and share this My Biscuits recipe from Food.com.
- 1 1⁄2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1⁄2-1 cup milk (may want to add a little more milk)
- preheat oven at 400.
- mix all ingredients together.
- bake for about 10-15 mins.
- bake til golden brown.
- brush with butter.
DH liked these biscuits but they did not rise as well as I thought they should have. Think my self rising flour might have expired as my muffins almost looked like mini's. They are very easy to make and I brushed them with butter that I added some garlic powder to since I served the biscuits with the famous lasagna. Will give these a try again at a later date. At first I was wondering why the consistency was like a muffin mix and looking at the servings it made,I fitted them all in a large 6 muffin tray.I watched it rise and rise and wondered if I might have done something wrong that they look like muffins. After it was done, I took it out and they shrank making it look like your photo. I took a bite and it had a consistency of soft bread biscuits. Heaved a sigh of relief that they turned out just right. It went well with your delicious Fried Potatoes and Fried Chicken. Thanks for sharing this, Darkslight! Made for my Fall PAC baby 2008.
