My Awesome High Protein Orange Smoothie

"Vegan, but delicious! This is more than a snack, this is a full meal in a glass. It is an ORIGINAL RECIPE I created because I wanted more protein for the calories and it had to be Vegetarian. I am sharing it because I am thankful for all the wonderful recipes others have made available to me. Because of dietary special needs I use the program MasterCook 9 to calculate the nutritional value of my recipes. Calculating ALL ingredients as listed, this recipe yields 445 calories; 9g fat, 21g protein, 78g carbohydrate, 7g dietary fiber, 0g cholesterol and 200mg sodium."

  • 2 tablespoons soy protein powder (I use Better-Than-Milk Soy Powder, light)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 12 cup firm tofu (I use Nori-Nu Tofu, firm)
  • 1 medium banana, frozen
  • 3 tablespoons oat flour
  • 2 (1 g) packets stevia plus (I use Sweet Leaf, it adds fiber!)

  • Combine soy milk powder, orange juice and tofu in a blender. Cut the banana into slices. Add banana, oat flour and sweetener to ingredients in the blender. Blend until smooth.
