Mutt Muffins for Howloween

"Used for Howl-O-Ween Event at dog park."

• Yields: 14 muffins

ingredients

• 1 apple
• 2 carrots
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 2 3⁄4 cups water
• 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg
• 4 cups whole wheat flour
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon nutmeg

directions

1. In food processor puree the apple.
2. Shred carrot with hand shredder.
3. In a bowl mix all wet ingredients together and add pureed apple.
4. Mix wet ingredients thoroughly.
5. Combine dry ingredients.
6. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix
7. thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the bowl to be sure none of the dry mixture is left. With an ice cream scoop, fill a muffin pan 3/4 full, sprayed with a nonstick spray. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour.
