- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup light molasses
- 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons minced onions
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 (16 ounce) can yellow wax beans, drained well
directions
- Combine first six ingredients in a saucepan; heat to a boil.
- Add beans and simmer five minutes; cool.
- Drain and serve chilled as a salad or as an accompaniment to meats as a relish.
- Any leftover liquid may be chilled and used to marinate other cooked vegetables.
