  • Combine ingredients and set aside.
  • Grill meat (do not add anything). During the last 4-10 minutes baste with this sauce.
  • Boil the remaining sauce and spoon 2 tablespoons onto each plate, adding the meat portion.

  1. I rubbed some spice mix on a spatchcocked chicken & cooked it on the BBQ. I made up this sauce & cooked it in a pan, then let it cool. Then I basted the chicken with it approx 5 mins before serving. I heated the remainder of the sauce & served this with the chicken. We loved it (especially the kick from the cider vinegar), I think next time I will put a little bit less sugar in it though. Thanks!
     
  2. I added a touch more honey, because I like my sauce a little sweeter, but aside from that, this is excellent.
