- 44.37 ml peanut oil
- 2 clove garlic, Minced
- 1 onion, Minced
- 118.29 ml catsup
- 78.78 ml apple cider vinegar
- 29.58 ml lemon juice
- 29.58 ml honey
- 14.79 ml brown sugar
- 9.85 ml dry mustard
- 4.92 ml ginger
- 0.25 ml salt
directions
- Combine ingredients and set aside.
- Grill meat (do not add anything). During the last 4-10 minutes baste with this sauce.
- Boil the remaining sauce and spoon 2 tablespoons onto each plate, adding the meat portion.

I rubbed some spice mix on a spatchcocked chicken & cooked it on the BBQ. I made up this sauce & cooked it in a pan, then let it cool. Then I basted the chicken with it approx 5 mins before serving. I heated the remainder of the sauce & served this with the chicken. We loved it (especially the kick from the cider vinegar), I think next time I will put a little bit less sugar in it though. Thanks!
