Another great one NurseDi. My family really enjoyed this today. I served them on a bed of seasoned white rice. For the one person who can't eat onions, I left one without stuffing it and she raved about it too. Next time I may alter it just a little for my cheese lovers and add a slice of mozzerella just before I take them out of the broiler. Thanks for another great recipe.

Outstanding. We love hamburger steaks and this was exceptional. The mushroom-onion stuffing combined with the bacon flavor made us drool. Very savory and delicious. Thanks Nurse Di.

This was delicious and fun. Hubby thought we were having very fat hamburgers and was pleasantly surprised when he cut into it and found the surprise inside. I added cheese just before I took them out of the broiler. Definite keeper!!!

Way to go NurseDi. They were scarfed up by my family. Words can't describe how delicious this recipe is. The proof is in the tasting. Just the process of stuffing them makes your mouth water from the smell of the onions and mushrooms. I didn't tell anyone that they were stuffed so that everyone would be in for a pleasant surprise. It was truly melt in your mouth.

Wowzer!! Hamburger steaks are a favorite of ours. This is the grandaddy of them all. The mushroom stuffing is a nice surprise when you cut into them. Savory and delicious. The best. Thanks Nurse Di.

Really tasty. I included some cheese slices (torn in half) with the mushroom mixture inside of the burgers. It ran out a little, but meh, it still tasted great. I also topped mine with bacon, and a few slices of avocado as well.

Excellant hamburgers, thanks! Had just a little trouble when I turned them over, tops slid just a bit, not a disaster and the taste was really great. I just laid the bacon on top because I figured if I tried to wrap it around they would fall apart. In any case they were well worth making and we will probably make them again.

These were wonderful! The flavors blended so nice together. My husband raved about these and kids ate them right up. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. This will be a regular meal at our home from now on.

NurseDi...........YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!! Made this last night for myself, so I'm sure I was off on my measurements of the ingredients. Was hard to 1/4 down the egg, but I managed to eyeball it. Definately extremely easy to put these together and the main thing that intrigued me to try this recipe was the potatoes in the meat mixture. Had never heard of that before and it gave the burger a different taste. Will definately be making these again when the DH & DS are home. One more thing, enjoyed the burger with "Oven Steak Fries" #58801 by Kirste. Enjoy the pics Di!

I had some leftover cooked bacon from breakfast, so I chopped it in little pieces and added it to the onion and mushroom stuffing mixture. Deicious!! I have made these twice now and my family loves them. They are really great with a little "au jus" gravy on the side!

Well all I can say is what everyone has said - these are scrumptious. I served them as regular hamburgers on a bun with melted cheese, Horshradish, mustard, tomato , lettuce etc on the side. We could hardly get our jaws around them but oh so good. Served with Oven fries and a green salad. Excellent recipe Thanks NurseDi

Thanks NurseDi for this delicious twist on hamburgers. We don't like mushrooms, so I stuffed them with the onion & also a cube of cheese which melted as the burgers cooked. Will make these again :)

Let me add my hoorays and attagirl to this recipe. My family and I devoured these hamburger steaks. Tender enough to cut with our forks. The stuffing was a nice touch and very delicious. I just wrapped one piece of bacon around each steak and that gave them a nice smoky flavor. Thanks Nurse Di. We are all going to have to go on a diet if we keep eating like this.

My husband is a true fan of "Hamburger Steak" and this one was absolute tops in his book. Thanks Nursedi. We used some of the outside cut of ribeyes we bought at Costco and ground the meat in the food processor. We only used teo strips of bacon. Otherwise we did the recipe just as written. Margie
