I used about a tablespoon of butter to saute the mushrooms and onions and used brandy. I didn't blend the soup but added a few teaspoons of flour to thicken.

This was tasty! I used white wine, veggie broth, parsley and a little cornstarch to thicken it at the end. Thanks for posting!
i found this recipe very easy to make, i added white wine instead of sherry wine and freshly crushed black pepper and mustard seeds delicious
Very good...easy to make, too! I used the sherry wine. I did add a little more garlic:) I didn't blend the entire soup; I left some chunks in there. Thanx for posting. I'll make this again.
