  1. Fabulous ! I used canned mushrooms to cut out the step of frying in butter and it was still yummy. It made way too much for a normal 9" pie shell, though. Use a deep dish one! I used a mix of mozzarella and cheddar as I don't like the taste of swiss.

  2. Delicious! I added 1 tsp minced garlic to the mushrooms 2 minutes before they were done cooking. Next time I'll be adding some finely chopped onion or shallot and thyme. Also used my homemade quiche shell. It went well with a spinach and apple salad. Thanks!

  3. great! I use this recipe for all my quiche as a start or just the recipe itself. great taste.

  4. I liked this a lot because of its simplicity and because it's the first mushroom quiche I've made in a long time that actually tasted of mushrooms and wasn't overwhelmed by the taste of cheese!

  5. This is so wonderful and my whole family enjoyed it . I made a ham and cheese pie for the kids since they don't care for mushrooms. I used portobello and button mushrooms for the other. I also sauteed a large onion and added it to the pies. The flavor was just wonderful. This is a keeper and I will make it again and again. Thanks for sharing :) Ri

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
