Yum! This was so simple and loved the red pepper flakes in this. Served over a rib-eye steak and it was a wonderful dinner. Thanks Richard-NYC for sharing this great recipe. Made for Cookbook Tag.

Thanks for a great recipe! I really enjoyed this. I used regular yellow onions because it was what I had on hand, & it was still good. I loved the added spice from the crushed red pepper flakes & would have never thought to add that on my own. I'll definitely make this again!

I made this the other night for our burgers. Its was great, I didnt add a lot of red pepper flakes...thinking the kids might try it but I should have known better. Next time I will put a few more flakes it and spice it up a bit more. Thanks for a great recipe...gonna take it to the lake next summer for steak I think my dad will love it.

I had some mushrooms that were about to shrivel up and die so I decided to use them for this. I'm so glad I did! I cut the butter down a little but otherwise didn't change a thing. Next time I'm adding more crushed red pepper. I'm looking forward to using the bit that's left over in a grilled cheese sandwich. Thanks, Richard!

I used a mix of mushrooms, shitake, button and baby bellas. This was great, with or without the meat! I will use this often as a side dish. The red pepper flakes gave it some zing. Thanks Richard.

For Cooking Photos Swap #7. This is a very simple recipe, but great for burgers. I wish I had tried this sooner! Thanks :)

This makes a burger SUPER. It is so simple yet the flavor is special. The slow cooking and the pepper flakes do the trick. Of course I used cheese on my burger too, served with a side salad of lettuce , tomato, & cucumbers. Thanks Richard for a recipe that will be used over & over again

Sometimes the most simple things are the best things. I have made this twice..both times exactly as directed...except the second time I used Baby Bellas...loved it the first time..but the Baby Bellas just sent it over the top. Served it over grilled Ribeyes both times, but the next time it will be served over a burger. Super good...thanks for a real keeper RR!
