- 4 cube steaks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 3 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1⁄4 cup chopped onion
- 2 (4 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms
directions
- Sprinkle steaks with salt and lemon pepper.
- Heat oil in 12 inch skillet.
- Add steaks and cook over med.
- heat till browned, and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- Add green pepper, onion, and mushrooms, with juice.
- Heat over low heat 7 minutes.

opps forgot my review. This was pretty good. I will cook again, but next time use more mushrooms, Iread the directions wrong and only put in a little over 1/2 of what it called for. Cube steak is usually a little tough and this was still tough, but not as bad as usual. I think next time I will let it cook a little longer in the juices to see if that makes it a little less tough.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
