A quick and simple way to get yummy mushrooms to serve with grilled meats or even just over mashed potatoes. I added a little fresh thyme, still had some - I think it is a good herb to use with mushrooms.

This is a delicious recipe. I add cream, dill and tarragon for a nice mushroom sauce for chicken, steak or whatever you want. Thanks for posting

The platter of these mushrooms was greeted with a bunch of 'oooos' and 'aaaaas' from my kids, and I had to be quick to get any, and no wonder, they are just perfect! I really like how the cooking method is so detailed, it works and the texture is firm and crisp (or as crisp as a mushroom can be).

I loved this mushroom fry! The only change I made was to purchase sliced mushrooms that were ready to cook. Thanks!

Mmmm, yummy! I made as directed and enjoyed them very much! I did quarter the mushrooms since they were a good size. Thanks! Made for Newest Zaar tag.

Thoroughly enjoyed. This is a quick and easy side that could go with oh some dishes. Paired up very well with barley pilaf. Made as written. Thanks so much for the post.

Perfect in every way. I am not a mushroom eater but DD and DH thoroughly enjoyed their mushrooms on toast! They were not mushy at all and cooked to perfection I am told. Thanks for another great recipe Syd.

What a perfect way to fry mushrooms! This is my new go to recipe for mushrooms now. What a difference; no more mushy mushrooms! I served the mushrooms with steak; baked potatoes with sour cream, crispy bacon bits, and grated cheddar cheese for toppers; and a green salad. Yummy!
