- Prepare a hot fire. In a medium bowl, toss mushrooms with oil to coat well.
- Place mushroom caps, stem side down, on an oiled grill set 4-6 inches from the coals.
- Grill until edges are lightly browned, 3-5 minutes.
- Turn and place 1 teaspoon pesto in the cavity of each mushroom cap.
- Continue grilling until bottoms of mushrooms are golden brown, about 3-5 minutes longer.
