My sister had noted down this recipe from one of the Indian magazines. I tried it & liked it and would like to share it. It is a different mix of dals.

I made this for dinner last night and it went very well with everyone. It really is a different and unusual dal. I didn't have my measuring cup on hand to measure 750ml of water, so I used 4 cups and that was just perfect. I didn't have a dal "curry" in the end so to speak, but I liked the dal all the same. It was more like a vegetable{dry}, but tasted very flavourful. I served some fresh sliced lemons with this and everyone squeezed them over the dal. That way it tastes so much more nicer! I used 3/4 tsp. red chilli powder, 1 1/2 tsps. salt, 2 1/2 tsps. garam masala powder and 1 1/4 tsps. turmeric powder. I used our regular Sunflower cooking oil as a substitute for ghee. This was nice and is a keeper! Will make again for sure. Thanks for sharing!!!
