Excellent Bread Recipe. I rolled the loves in Oatmeal, Sunflower Seeds and Flax Seeds before putting in the pans for a crunchy interesting top. I left out the peacans and subsituted for oatmeal (not the quick oats, but old fashion)
Pretty good. Didn't have whole flax seed, so I used ground flax seed and cut the amount down just a little. Also, don't have a stand mixer with a dough hook, so I mixed it by hand. Came out good.
Turned out great. Loved the grains and the chewy crunch from the nuts.
This recipe sounds like a 5 star to me and would really like to try it.....question.....can it be made in a bread machine? Would you be kind enough to get back to me regarding this. Thanks for your response and thanks for your posting. Regards, Helen Price
This is the best bread that I have ever made. I followed the directions, which were beautifully clear and well laid out, used my stand mixer and kneaded it well by hand, and it turned out superbly. The only change that I made is that I let the bread rise for about 1.5 hours each time. Great stuff!!!
This bread is fabulous! I made the recipe as written using Bob's Red Mill 10 Grain Cereal for the multi-grain cereal and my food processor instead of a mixer. I also added some hemp hearts to the batter. I only have one loaf pan so I made the 2nd loaf in a bundt pan with good results. Made for the Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup Tag Game.
This is a great recipe! I too used whole wheat pastry flour and didn't use a stand mixer, just elbow grease. Otherwise, following the recipe and suggestion for rising method really paid off. Made an incredibly delicious sandwich!
Excellent!! I made this bread and gave my friend one of the loaves, and she and I think it is so delicious! The best multi grain bread I have ever had. Very easy to make. I eat multi grain bread every day and will be making this often.
