Hot, sweet and spicy - a lovely drink for the holiday season. Recipe adapted from Ruokala website.
- 100 ml apple liqueur or 100 ml plum liqueur
- 50 ml sugar
- 10 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 -5 cm fresh ginger (1-2 inches)
- 1 lemon, zest of, julienned
- 1 (750 ml) bottle white wine
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently (do not boil!).
- Sieve and serve hot.
