Good for cool nights....especially after trick or treating on Halloween
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon clove
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ginger
- 1 orange, unpeeled and sliced
- Combine in crockpot.
- cook on low for 2-3 hours before serving.
Wonderful! Made it as we were carving pumpkins... perfect autumn treat, and made the house smell like the holidays, too! My only change for next time would be to only put in half the amount of brown sugar... it is already sweet enough. I loved the orange in this, though! I will definitely make this again!
very nice recipe and good for gatherings. next time, i will use less sugar as we found the sweetness overpowered the tanginess of the cider
Prepared as given and just great! It doesn't get any easier than this to have a warm, tasty, refreshing drink. My drink of choice this Christmas season! Can sit in crockpot several hours (if it lasts that long!)
