Definitely a great sandwich & very adaptive to changes. I used a chunkier version of Green Olivida Crostini for the olive salad and sliced turkey. We'll make these again!
I reside in the land of Katrina blight, Mardi Gras revelers and great food culture. Though never a dull moment, I don't know what would make me cry more...eating massive amounts of muffulettas or never having it in my life again. Made for Best of 2010.
WOW! Was this ever good! My GF and I woofed down these sandwiches like there was no tomorrow! Loved them! Mike
This is an OK sandwich but I don't need a recipe to know how to put meat and cheese on bread. The true heart of a muffuletta is the olive salad. That's the crux of the recipe. And it's sadly missing here.
We had these for dinner last night and they were fantastic!
Made this for my DH and he said it was awesome!!!
Ditto to Mike&Cassie's rave review. I didn't use quite as much meat (or my panini maker wouldn't have been able to close). This is an easy big easy treat!
