I love no-bake cookies but I'm not fond of them with peanut butter. This recipe is awesome and peanut butter free. The best part is it tastes like fudge (fudge with oatmeal).
- Combine first 4 ingredients and bring to a rolling boil 1-1/2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour over oats. Mix well and add vanilla.
- Spoon onto cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
- Keep refrigerated or they will go sugary!
These had excellant flavor, but they were too moist to be eaten with your fingers. Next time, I will try adding more oats, and less milk. I am watching my Dad lick his fingers from trying to pick one up right now. I was looking for Cow Patty Cookies, and someone put this recipe in my post, so I tried it. I will try it again, but want something a little firmer, that holds its shape, instead of a gooey mess.
