Mrs. Sweet's Sugar Cookies

"These are the worlds greatest sugar cookies! Mrs. Sweet (Yes, that was her real name,) lived down the street from my dad when he was little. Sometimes she would open her back door and say "Boys, would you like some cookies’ and all the kids would come running. She usually made round cookies and put red hots on them. The original recipe just said ‘Flour enough for stiff dough’ – I have estimated it at 4 ½ c – 5 c. If you don’t put in enough it is not big deal; it will just absorb more flour when rolling it out and cutting the shapes."
