My grandmother was a wonderful cook and she made these pickles every year from cukes that she grew herself. She was a gentle woman who loved fishing and gardening. I miss her very much

I'm giving these 5 stars because the recipe was easy to follow; it was simple; and the results delicious! I've even added fresh cukes to the "old" juice and the second batch was tasty. I'm not sure how far I can stretch that frugal trick but it worked once! Thanks Grandma Hancock and ErneChef!

Directions

  1. Mix above ingrdients until sugar dissolves (Do not heat).
  2. Wash and dry cucumbers.
  3. Slice cucumbers and pack in gallon jug.
  4. Pour liquid over sliced cucumbers. Ready to eat in 2 or 3 days.
  5. Makes 1 gallon pickles.
