Mrs. H's Lemon Nut Bread

"My cooking teacher gave us a hand-out and this is one of the recipes on it. This is delicious and I don't even like lemon! This a quick bread."

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Cream together sugar and butter with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add lemon peel and eggs; beat well.
  • In separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture ALTERNATELY with milk, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Pour into pan.
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes.

I am in 6th grade now and wanted my own account because most of the time my opinion is different from my family's. I also wanted to get a taste of what my Mom is doing for so many hours a day!
