This is the ultimate comfort food! Tastes like something from my childhood. The only changes I made were to add three cloves of garlic when saut?ing the veggies and I used about 1/2 pound of beef instead of the full pound (it was plenty meaty for us). Thank you so much for this recipe, it's a keeper!
wonderful recipe. I used macaroni. And I used a 28 ounce can of diced tomatoes. I used a little bit more of each veggies (celery, pepper, onion). And I used fresh mushrooms that I added at the same time as the previous veggies. The mushroom soups adds a wonderful taste to the whole dish. It gives a lot and it's perfect for the lunches at work/school. Thanks Jellyqueen :) Made for All you can cook buffet
A very simple and easy recipe to do!! Very delish and made it on our 1st SNOW DAY of 2012!!
The whole family loved this, made exactly according to the recipe!
This was really good. I left out the celery, used ground lamb, and used a can of tomato paste with water. All changes made based on what was on hand. It was so flavorful that you could barely tell that we used ground lamb. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!
Very good. I used elbow macaroni (because that's what I had in the cabinet). Didn't have worcestershire so I omitted that and the brown sugar. Left out the mushrooms and celery for my pickers. Was still really good. I might up the tomato sauce (next time will maybe try 2 cans) - but this was really good and my kids loved it.
I was really hoping my family would love this, but no one was impressed. Hamburger mixture that you cook and put on top tastes a lot like sloppy joe, and that was pretty good. I would make and eat again, but I don't think my hubby and kids liked it real well.
I liked this better than my husband. He thought it was bland. I used the angel hair pasta, but think elbow macaroni would be better.
