In an attempt to watch our salt intake, we use Campbell's Low Sodium Tomato juice. It even makes a nice juice drink without the voldka.
- 1 (46 ounce) cancampbell's low-sodium tomato juice
- 4 tablespoons lime juice
- 3 tablespoons jalapeno juice (from canned jalapeno peppers)
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons horseradish
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 dash garlic
- Combine all but tomato juice in a blender. Stir that mixture into the tomato juice. Mix well. Mix 3 parts Bloody Mary mix with 1 part voldka. Store in refrigerator.
I didn't bother with the blender, but just shook everything well to combine. I added more horseradish to mine to make it even zingier. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
