  • Cook tomatoes, celery and onions for 2 or 3 hours until soft enough to be pressed through a cone sieve.
  • Add sugar, salt and butter.
  • Using a couple cups of soup mixture, stir into flour to make paste.
  • Add paste and seaoning back to mixture.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring often.
  • Ladle into sterile quart jars; cap and seal; water bath for 20 minutes.

I live in rural west virginia in top of a mountain. . We raise seven kids,a few cows,chickens and rabbits and have 2 acres of garden.fun is playing with the kids. My favorite cookbook is the modern american family by meta given published in 1942.My passions are cooking,canning, and decorating. my pet peeve is people who are rude!! If I had a month off I'd read and play with my kids.I recently began working with the developmentally disabled and love it!!
