Cumin Yogurt Dressing
- 118.29 ml nonfat yogurt or 118.29 ml low-fat plain yogurt
- 1 small garlic clove, pressed
- 4.92 ml fresh lime juice or 4.92 ml lemon juice
- 2.46 ml ground cumin
- 1.23 ml red onion, grated
- 0.25 ml ground cinnamon
- 2.46-4.92 ml fresh cilantro (optional) or 2.46-4.92 ml mint, minced (optional)

Vegetables
- 473.18 ml savoy cabbage or 473.18 ml green cabbage, finely shredded
- 118.29 ml red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 118.29 ml celery, finely chopped
- 59.14 ml red onion, finely chopped
directions
- Whisk together all of the dressing ingredients and set aside.
- Combine the cabbage, bell peppers, celery and onions in a large bowl. Add the dressing and toss well. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving.

I wasn't that impressed with this salad. It wasn't bad, it just seemed like it was missing something. I used a green pepper instead of red and added some chopped cucumbers (because I needed to use them up). The onion flavor was really strong, but that could have been my onion and not the recipe. I probably won't make this again.

I'm married to the love of my life and my high school sweetheart. (Corny, but true..)We have 4 children and everyday is an adventure, for sure. My love for cooking came from my childhood. My grandma made the best huge southern meals without any recipes at all, most of her ingredients coming from her garden. I loved watching her cook. Organic foods are a must and I try to add them to whatever I make for my family. I enjoy going to our local farmers market and making something out of what I've found that day.
