Yum-O! Thank you so much for sharing with us. I made this last night and we had some today. It was a hit. I had been looking for this recipe ever since I saw it on J&K +8, again thank you.

My son (14) and I both love this recipe. I do not add the butter though. I actually didn't realize it was on there when I made it. And it came out perfect! So why add in the extra calories if its not needed.

Very yummy. I used Life ceral as here they dont seel Chex. -just a funny note I put it in a ziplock bag I had used and washed previously. Well apparently there was a hole in it and when I gave it a big squish a whole bunch of chocolate squished out as well all over my hads! So make sure the bag has no holes! lol

Puppy Chow, as we've always called it, is highly addictive. I've always found the adults eat way more than the kiddos! This was copied straight from the Chex website with one important omission: "Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag." For anyone just starting out in the kitchen, the directions as currently posted could be confusing since they do not detail what to do with the cereal.

I believe you left out a step which caused a catastrophe for me; I'm a newbie in the kitchen. In step 6 or before step 7, I think you should say after adding chocolate to ziploc you need to mix around to coat Chex before adding powdered sugar. Because you left this step out I added the powdered sugar as directed in step 7 and then mixed and just got big clumps of chocolate covered with powdered sugar and not chocolate covered Chex dusted with powdered sugar. Make sense?

This is so good...I made a double batch for my daughter's 4th b-day party. A few hints to make it less messy...Use a cooking spray on the bowl you micro in..it was a breeze to clean and for big batches I mixed it all in a Ziploc big bag ( the one for storage) I had no mess to clean up :)

This gets a big thumbs up at my house. This is the recipe that brought me to RecipeZaar. A big hit with my 3 Grandchildren, Husband and my Mother. I personally would like it better with nuts and other things but they like it just as is. I will be making it on a regular basis for them. I am a huge fan of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 show and have been trying to get this recipe for a long time. Thanks for posting it!!!

My wonderful sister in law sent me this recipe and so glad she did. I thought I better rate it. It is so good..entire family loved it. I thought it would be messy because of the powdered sugar, but it isn't. Glad we tried it. She said she was addicted to it also....Thanks!

I like this version. I've made a different recipe for this in the past (called puppy chow) and I thought this was much better. Not quite as messy and very quick to throw together. Thanks!

This was super easy to make. My 2 and 3 year olds LOVED helping me make it. It came out quite well and it totally yummy. The mess of it all is part of the fun! :)

This was easy to make and delicious. The chocolate mixture did not spread evenly throughout, but that added to the sweet/salty combo. I had half a bag of leftover choco chips so I tossed those in with the cereal and it added a nice texture!
