I am allergic to nuts, so I used pumpkin seeds and oatmeal. Because of earlier baking, I only had 1 cup of brown sugar, so I used that and 1/4 cup of dulce de lece. Yummy yummy yummy!!!
Yum-Yum is right! Rich, decadent & Christmasy! (although, I will be making these all year round when a special treat is desired!!) I used margarine instead of butter in the base but followed the recipe other than that. I used the maximum baking times. These bars are gooey & tasty!!
Delicious! I omitted the coconut due to personal preference. It was very sweet but oh-so-good. I love cherries so I knew this would be good!
These were really yummy and very sweet.They remind me of a pecan pie. My top layer was a little too "wet" after 30 minutes in the oven, but I'm sure it was due to my uncalibrated oven. Thanks for another great recipe Redsie!

Wonderful! So much better then I expected too! Lots of rave reviews! I didn't know (blush) what desiccated Coconut was so I used the sweetened kind and it was really really good! I will be making them AGAIN!
