My family has been making this recipe for waffles every Sunday since I was born. The book this comes out of is in pieces and has no cover. It is also covered in flour we use it so much. This recipes also makes good pancakes.
- Mix dry together in a bowl.
- Mix wet together in a bowl.
- Separate eggs and beat the whites stiff.
- Mix yolks in with the wet.
- Mix wet into dry slowly.
- Fold in egg whites.
These were great. The batter is so light and they bake up wonderfully. I even went out and bought a new waffle iron just so we could have these more often.
Hadn't had waffles in ages and we have this sandwich/waffle machine we hadly ever use, so this was our special for Sunday breaky this week. Probably because the sandwich/waffle machine is smaller than the regular waffle makers, the recipe made a lot of waffles!! 15!! So we enjoyed three a piece,(more than we should've), and I packaged the rest and froze them, they will make a good quick, in the toaster, breaky later. This was a good basic waffle recipe, thanks for sharing!
Wonderful waffles. Light and fluffy and cooked perfectly. I was drawn to your recipe because of the Mickey Mouse picture. We have the Disney Cinderella waffle maker they sold in their stores YEARS ago but the waffles are so big that I never have enough mix for my family of 5. I doubled this recipe and it was PERFECT!
