Loved this easy recipe. I adore cilantro and added a handful and added chopped onion then blended everything in a food processor. Refrigerated overnight. It thickened up somewhat and had developed a wonderful fresh flavor. Thanks for posting this recipe rickoholic83.
This was good and easy to make. I was making tacos and made this to go with them. My family liked it but like others thought it was more of a sauce then a salsa. It wasn't something they would have wanted with chips to dip. We did enjoy it though.
This is a nice, very simple recipe. Takes just a couple minutes to whip up. It would be perfect for tacos or enchiladas, as it's more of a sauce than a salsa. Adding some chopped tomatoes and onions would chunk it up, which is what I think I'll do. Huevos rancheros, as mentioned in the header of the recipe, sound like a winner of a choice for it.
This is very good. It is more like taco sauce than salsa but still very good. It was what I was looking for. My son doesn't like chunky salsa and this fits the bill. I think I will grind up the oregano a little more next time though. Also this isn't a mild salsa. It's not terribly hot but for small children or someone who doesn't like a lot of heat you may want to adjust the amount of pepper flakes. We like the heat so it was fine for us. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
Very good and easy! I like my salsa chunky, so next time I may add some diced tomatoes. As written it would be good for recipes where salsa is used for flavor. Glad I tagged it for PRMR :)
Very good and easy. I halved the recipe and served it with cheese sticks. I prefer a chunkier salsa for chips, but think this would be great with eggs, potatoes, etc...
Oh so easy with a wonderful flavor. This recipe was recommended in the Random Draw game by CookinQTGranny. I need to thank her too.
Wonderful salsa and so simple to make! My DD asked me to not buy salsa at the store anymore and just make this from now on. Perfect seasonings and enough heat for those that like a little kick. Served this with Karamia's Cheesy Bean Enchiladas topped with sour cream and tortilla chips. Thank you rickoholic83 for posting the great recipe!
This is just way too easy to taste so good! It was a nice accompaniment to Mini Souffles. There is no end to its uses. I plan on using it on some chile rellenos next. I also appreciate that it is made with all ingredients that you have in your pantry. The spices seemed just right to me although I did substitute using half the amount of garlic powder in place of the granulated garlic because it was what I had on hand. EASY and GooD!
