We enjoyed these meatballs very much Aries_87. I scaled the recipe down to make enough for dinner for the two of us. My dh will be enjoying the few leftovers for lunch today, he can't wait. The meatballs were flavorful, tender and juicy. Quick and very easy to make. The only difference to the recipe was that I didn't use Prego, but homemade spagetti sauce. It worked very well in this dish. Thank you for sharing your mom's recipe. Made for Spring Pac 2011.

Very tasty meatballs, and I do like cooking meatballs in the oven. A great lower fat method of cooking them! The 75.9 grams of fat per serve is obviously because of the small serving sizes specified. It would take eaters with pretty big appetites to consume 1lb of meatballs each! But I suppose anything's possible. To me the number of meatballs would be enough for at least 6 servings. I used 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1 minced onion instead of the garlic powder and onion powder and I added some dried rosemary and sage to the other herbs: just love adding herbs! I also added two eggs, just more confident that the meatballs would hold together. I covered the meatballs loosely with foil for the first 30 minutes of the cooking time, then removed it for the last 10 minutes to allow them to brown. Very tasty meatballs. Made for PAC Spring 2009.
