This is my mom's family recipe. Handed down from mother to daughter, and now it's my turn. It's a very basic recipe, just potatoes, cabbage and butter. Careful not to burn the butter.
This recipe is how I was taught by my Ukranian grandmother!! the only item left out was the onions. Fry 2 large onions with the cabbage. I use more onions because I love them! I use butter instead of margerine. You also will need alot of salt!!
Add at the end 1 container of cottage cheese!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this recipe. My mother and grandmother would make this for us years ago, but we couldn't find a recipe like theirs. Brought back some great memories as well as tasting delicious. Easy to make.
