Mom's Frosting

"I know everyone uses butter for this, but we grew up using margarine and prefer the taste of it to butter."

• Serves: 16

ingredients

• 1 lb powdered sugar, the whole box
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 cup 2% low-fat milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1⁄2 cup margarine, softened
• 1⁄2 cup cocoa powder

directions

1. Beat all ingredients until smooth.
2. Thin with a little milk, if needed.
3. Makes enough to frost an 8" 2 layer cake.
