Very neat recipe! You can use other types of peppers, not just Tabasco. I planted a Serano plant and it took off. In So. Indiana, I just picked my last crop this weekend. It's November 20! I've made this twice now and it turns out great! I added a pinch of Kosher salt and boiled my sauce after straining to thicken a bit. Tastes better than store bought.

WOW - (ouch!) This is a deadly mix! I used birds eye chillis and it worked well. I bottled up and gave to the chilli lovers for Chrissy, apparently crying is good when it comes to this sauce? Will be making again - thank you for the recipe!
